LemonKitchen Healthy Apple Pie French Toast
French Toast Ingredients:
4 slices of low carb bread or bread of choice
2 eggs
1 oz of almond milk
2 tbsp unsweetened apple sauce
1/2 scoop protein powder ( I prefer the PEScience brand)
Apple pie seasoning (or 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp all spice)
1 red apple
1 tbsp butter or coconut oil
1/2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
1 tsp cinnamon
French Toast Instructions:
French Toast Base: Mix all the ingredients and soak the bread. Cook on a pan over medium high heat.
Fried Apples: Dice apples. In a hot pan, add apples.. saute until the apples are slightly soft. Add cinnamon and brown and mix for 1 min.
Plate: Top fried bread with fried apples, whipped cream, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, and walnuts.
